Thanksgiving is just around the corner and it will nearly be here before you can say, “pass the stuffing!” Life is busy, schedules are full and holiday entertaining can easily turn into last minute lists, shopping and meal prep.

Thanksgiving dinner is known for the abundant variety of delicious side dishes just as much as it is the juicy turkey. To relieve a little stress and take a load off, we choose to let Festival’s deli team do the work to prepare our favorite side dishes so we can focus on getting the house cleaned and dressed up for the holiday!

Let’s talk turkey – fresh turkeys are so convenient, no extra days of thawing required. The fresh turkeys at Festival are all natural with no added solutions and are non-basted and gluten free. You may reserve your fresh turkey online!

Cooking a Turkey is the easy part and your oven will do most of the work. Simply follow the cooking time and temperature instructions on the packaging according to the weight of your bird. We recommend starting with a fresh turkey placed breast side up in a roasting pan, covered in foil for the first hour.

Remove the foil for the remainder of the cooking time and brush with butter or baste with the pan juices to get that nice golden brown color. The pop-up timer will let you know when your masterpiece is finished! We like to use a disposable pan for the turkey as a time-saver but be careful when handling the hot turkey in the disposable pan.

Stress-free, premium quality, deli side dishes are a great way to save on time this holiday, allowing you to enjoy your guests even more. Just heat and transfer to your favorite serving dish! Plan your menu and order on line!

We enjoy a nice Pinot Noir and think it pairs well with our Thanksgiving meal, for guests that don’t enjoy wine we add some sparkle and fizz to the table with Kristian Regale sparkling juices. They come in a variety of great flavors and are available in our deli department at Festival Foods.
