I have a great recipe for Chicken Cheddar Apple Burgers to share with you today.  If you love Fall and are looking to put the apples you bought at the orchard to good use or if you just aren’t ready to put the grill away, this recipe is for you!  The complimentary Fall favors come together to create a new take on classic BBQ.

The recipe can be found here.

Start by combining all ingredients in a mixing bowl.  The apple will need to be shredded before mixing.  This is simple to do by using a cheese grater or potato peeler, depending on how big you want the apple shavings.  The apple will help keep the burger moist and ensure the flavor is included in every bite.

Next form into 4 equal size patties.  Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook on each side for about 6 minutes or until cooked through.  You can also cook on the grill for about 5 minutes per side, or until the meat is cooked through.

While the meat is cooking, heat the oven to 350 degrees.  Add a slice of cheddar cheese to each half of the bun and toast in the oven for about 3-4 minutes.

Slice an apple into thin slices and whisk together the Dijon mustard, then assemble the burgers.  Delicious!

You’ll be licking your fingers in no time 🙂  The Dijon mustard really brings the flavors together and is quite versatile.  Use the leftovers on other burgers or chicken recipes.

The recipe can be found here.

Happy Cooking!
