St Patrick’s Day is fun day to celebrate, whether you are Irish or not.  You can typically find a parade or two around town, Irish themed food and drinks at your favorite restaurant or bar, and plenty of people wearing green!  It’s a festive day to celebrate and will unfortunately look a lot different this year due to COVID.  BUT…that doesn’t mean you can’t still celebrate at home! St Patrick’s Day is a fun holiday for everyone!  You can usually find some type of celebration around town whether it be a parade, green beer at your favorite bar or specials on Irish food at restaurants.  Even if you aren’t Irish, it’s fun to participate in the festivities. If you are having a hard time deciding what to make for St Patrick’s Day, I can help!  There are some really great recipes out there whether you are hosting a party or enjoying a quiet meal at home.  I want to share my take on St Patrick’s Day and the menu I plan on serving. I’m sticking with a “green theme” for my menu and serving mostly food that is…green.  The menu is not necessarily traditional Irish food but is fun and festive for the occasion! What a wonderful time of year!  Time to explore wonderful foods of St. Patrick’s Day that help us usher out the long winter and celebrate the return of spring!  For the suggested menu this week we hope you find some fun items to share with your family and friends that even complement the leftover corned beef! Irish Soda Bread and Pumpernickel Bread – Made from scratch favorites fresh out of the ovens at Taste of Scandinavia!  For a limited time we are baking loaves of Irish Soda Bread.  If you have not tried it, it is definitely worth the try!  A heavier bread with currants that can be served at room temperature or toasted with butter.  Just a heavenly bread eating experience  most would not expect.
