Bacon Jalapeno Crescent Roll Puffs is an easy appetizer or dinner recipe that will be a crowd favorite!  I say appetizer or dinner because the recipe is something most people would serve as an appetizer but if you eat enough of them (like we did) they can also be filling enough for an entire meal 😊 Think of this recipe as a spin on a traditional jalapeno popper.  You still have the jalapeno, bacon, shredded cheese, and cream cheese but instead of being stuffed inside the jalapenos, the ingredients are wrapped in crescent roll dough.  You get crispy bacon and spicy jalapeno, but the heat is cut by the combination of Colby jack and cream cheese.  The crescent roll dough creates this warm, soft, pillowy blanket to hold the ingredients together.  They are addictive! The recipe can be found here. Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees F.  Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cook the … Continue reading

If you’re a jalapeno popper fan, I have a wonderful recipe for you!  It’s a Jalapeno Popper Grilled Cheese sandwich…and it’s incredible!  The bread is toasted to perfection, the jalapenos add the right amount of heat, the bacon is crisp and adds a hint of salt, and the combination of cheeses oozing out of the sandwich in each bite make it just perfect. The recipe can be found here. Start by cooking the bacon according to package instructions.  Place on a paper towel lined place to absorb some of the grease and set aside.  Pro tip – if you make extra bacon, you have something to snack on while assembling the sandwiches 😊 Next, preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Slice the jalapenos in half (lengthwise) and remove any seeds.  Fill each piece of jalapeno with cream cheese.  It doesn’t matter if the cream cheese is softened for … Continue reading

I had a craving recently for something spicy and cheesy…. something with big flavor that wouldn’t be a dish I’ve had in the past or one of our standard weeknight meals.  Jalapenos were the first thing to cross my mind, so I started getting creative and settled on Jalapeno Popper Dip and Cheesy Jalapeno Turkey Sliders. Jalapeno Popper Dip is very similar to Jalapeno Poppers but in dip form with the jalapenos mixed in.  If you love Jalapeno Poppers, you’re going to love this Jalapeno Popper Dip!  There is plenty of cheese and diced jalapenos in each bite, and the breadcrumbs on top adds a little crunch that brings the whole dip together.  It’s the perfect party appetizer! The recipe can be found here. Here’s how you make it!  Start by preheating the oven to 400 degrees.  Then, dice the jalapenos.  I used 4 jalapenos but feel free to add … Continue reading

Potato Tacos with Jalapeno Cilantro Sauce are a delight!  They are vegetarian as well as vegan, so they make the perfect meal for Meatless Monday (or any day of the week).  Plus, they are delicious!  And who doesn’t love tacos? The Jalapeno Cilantro Sauce is a wonderful condiment for these tacos.  It add a citrusy, tangy, flavor to the tacos.  You’ll have plenty of leftover sauce as well to enjoy later in the week on more tacos, rice, chicken, salad, etc. The recipe can be found here. Start by making the Jalapeno Cilantro Sauce.  Add all ingredients to a food processor or blender and blend on high until smooth; jalapeno, cilantro, garlic cloves, lime juice, apple cider vinegar, avocado oil, vegan mayo, and salt. I like to lightly chop the jalapeno and cilantro, and mince the garlic before adding it to the food processor so it’s easier to blend.  I … Continue reading
