Food is an important part of celebrations throughout the world, regardless of culture. The next several days have many celebrations so we’ve been sorting through recipes to share with you that you and your family might prepare together to recognize these traditional festivities. The Chinese New Year begins on February 10 – The Year of the Snake. Kung Pao Chicken with Noodles is one of our favorite chicken recipes and seems perfect for a Sunday meal with your family. The peppers create some lovely heat and the crunch of the peanuts really makes the dish. Another recipe with some heat from crushed red pepper is Chicken with Cashews, my favorite ingredient in this recipe is the fragrant fresh Ginger!   We had to show Dad the love on Father’s Day so that means cooking a favorite meal and watching a movie together. Planning our Father’s Day meal was easy, we chose one of his favorites  – Kung Pao Chicken with Noodles. We love this recipe and usually make it with Smart Chicken®. These products are raised without animal byproducts, antibiotics, or hormones, and are processed using purified cold air instead of adding a non-potable water as most other chicken products are processed. One note about this recipe, a single batch never works around our house, we love the leftovers! We try to always have the pantry ingredients available because this meal can be prepped reasonably fast when the mood strikes. Here is the recipe link.
