Apple Cheddar Pizza with Toasted Pecans

Serves 8

A pizza unlike anything you've had before.

Ingredients:

1 ready-made pizza dough
1 cup grated white cheddar cheese
3 red apples, thinly sliced
1 cup apple juice
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 cup chopped toasted pecans
1 teaspoon sugar

Directions:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 425° F. 
  2. Lightly coat 14-inch pizza pan with cooking spray. Press dough into pizza pan.
  3. Pour apple juice in a small pot. Bring to medium heat and cook apples until tender. Drain off juice and reserve. Place apple slices on dough.
  4. Pour cornstarch, cinnamon, and honey into reserved apple juice. Cook over medium heat until clear. Pour sauce over apples.
  5. Sprinkle pecans and sugar on top of apples, then top with white cheddar. Place pizza in oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
