Boiling Lobster Tails
Rate this Recipe
|One lobster tail per person|
- Defrost frozen lobster tail in refrigerator overnight if possible for tenderest meat or soak in pan of cold water for 20-40 minutes, depending tail size and thickness. Make sure lobster tails are thawed completely before cooking for best results.
- Drop lobster tail, thawed, into large kettle of boiling water with 1 tsp. salt for each quart of water. When water returns to the boil, lower heat and cook for one minute per ounce (or six minutes for 6 oz. tails).
- Remove cooked meat from tail with fork, dunk in melted butter, and enjoy!
