1 Box White Cake Mix, plus ingredients listed on box
1 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
Red and Yellow Gel Food Coloring
16 oz Vanilla Frosting
Orange, Yellow, and White Sprinkles, for topping
Candy Corn, for topping
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a muffin tin with 12 cupcake liners.
Prepare the cake mix according to package instructions. Add the vanilla extract and stir to combine.
Pour half the batter into a separate mixing bowl.
Add ¼ Tsp yellow gel food coloring to one bowl. Stir to combine. Add additional yellow gel food coloring as needed, to reach the desired color.
Add ¼ Tsp yellow gel food coloring and 1/8 Tsp red gel food coloring to the other bowl. Stir to combine. Add additional yellow gel food coloring to get the desired shade of orange.
Add the yellow batter to the muffin tin first, filling about 1/3 of the way. Add the orange batter on top of the yellow batter. Each mold should be about 2/3 full.
Bake according to package instructions, using the time indicated for cupcakes.
Remove to a cooling rack to cool completely.
Add the frosting to a piping bag and snip off the corner. Pipe in a decorative pattern on top of each cupcake.
