Cajun Turkey Burgers with Spicy Remoulade

Ingredients:

1 Red Bell Pepper, thinly sliced+ Add to Shopping List
1 Yellow Bell Pepper, thinly sliced+ Add to Shopping List
1 Medium Yellow Onion, thinly sliced+ Add to Shopping List
1 lb Ground Turkey+ Add to Shopping List
1/4 Cup Green Onions, sliced+ Add to Shopping List
2 Tsp Cajun Seasoning+ Add to Shopping List
2 Tsp Frank's Hot Sauce+ Add to Shopping List
1/2 Tsp Salt+ Add to Shopping List
1/4 Tsp Black Pepper+ Add to Shopping List
Old Bay Seasoning+ Add to Shopping List
4 Hamburger Buns+ Add to Shopping List
1 Batch Spicy Remoulade, for topping+ Add to Shopping List
Spicy Remoulade Ingredients
1 Cup Mayonnaise+ Add to Shopping List
1/4 Cup Pickle Relish+ Add to Shopping List
2 Tbsp Capers, drained+ Add to Shopping List
1 1/2 Tbsp Spicy Brown Mustard+ Add to Shopping List
2 Tbsp Fresh Parsley, minced+ Add to Shopping List
4 Tsp Frank's Hot Sauce+ Add to Shopping List
1 Tsp Lemon Juice+ Add to Shopping List
  1. Start by making the spicy remoulade. In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, relish, capers, mustard, parsley, hot sauce, and lemon juice. Stir well and keep refrigerated until ready to use.
  2. Slice the bell peppers and onion and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the turkey, green onion, Cajun seasoning, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties and season both sides with Old Bay Seasoning.
  4. Add oil to 2 separate skillets and heat over medium heat.
  5. Add the bell peppers and onion to one skillet. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until soft and tender.
  6. Add the turkey patties to the other skillet. Cook for about 14 minutes, flipping halfway, or until an internal temperature of 165 degrees F is reached.
  7. Assemble the burgers. Spread a heaping spoonful of the remoulade on the bottom half of each bun. Add a burger patty and top with the bell pepper / onion mixture. Serve immediately.
