Cajun Turkey Burgers with Spicy Remoulade





Ingredients:
| Olive Oil |
| 1 Red Bell Pepper, thinly sliced |
| 1 Yellow Bell Pepper, thinly sliced |
| 1 Medium Yellow Onion, thinly sliced |
| 1 lb Ground Turkey |
| 1/4 Cup Green Onions, sliced |
| 2 Tsp Cajun Seasoning |
| 2 Tsp Frank's Hot Sauce |
| 1/2 Tsp Salt |
| 1/4 Tsp Black Pepper |
| Old Bay Seasoning |
| 4 Hamburger Buns |
| 1 Batch Spicy Remoulade, for topping |
| 1 Cup Mayonnaise |
| 1/4 Cup Pickle Relish |
| 2 Tbsp Capers, drained |
| 1 1/2 Tbsp Spicy Brown Mustard |
| 2 Tbsp Fresh Parsley, minced |
| 4 Tsp Frank's Hot Sauce |
| 1 Tsp Lemon Juice |
- Start by making the spicy remoulade. In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, relish, capers, mustard, parsley, hot sauce, and lemon juice. Stir well and keep refrigerated until ready to use.
- Slice the bell peppers and onion and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the turkey, green onion, Cajun seasoning, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties and season both sides with Old Bay Seasoning.
- Add oil to 2 separate skillets and heat over medium heat.
- Add the bell peppers and onion to one skillet. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until soft and tender.
- Add the turkey patties to the other skillet. Cook for about 14 minutes, flipping halfway, or until an internal temperature of 165 degrees F is reached.
- Assemble the burgers. Spread a heaping spoonful of the remoulade on the bottom half of each bun. Add a burger patty and top with the bell pepper / onion mixture. Serve immediately.
