1 oz Heavy Cream
Ground Ginger, to garnish

GINGERBREAD SIMPLE SYRUP
1 Cup Water
1 Cup Fresh Ginger, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
2/3 Cup Dark Brown Sugar, packed
1/2 Cup Full Flavor Molasses (Unsulphured)
1-2 Tsp Fresh Orange Zest
1 Tsp Ground Cinnamon
1/4 Tsp Ground Cloves
1/2 Tsp Ground Nutmeg
1/2 Tsp Ground Ginger
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
Directions:
Start by making the gingerbread simple syrup. Add all ingredients except the vanilla to a saucepan. Stir to combine then bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
Once boiling, remove from the heat, stir in the vanilla, cover, and let steep for 15 minutes.
Place a fine mesh strainer over a bowl and pour the syrup in. Discard the solids and let the syrup cool. Once cooled, use in your favorite cocktail, mocktail, or coffee beverage, or store in an airtight container in the fridge for a few weeks.
Craft the martinis. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the vodka, gingerbread syrup, and cream.
Shake vigorously then strain into 2 martini glasses.
Sprinkle a small amount of ground ginger over the top. Serve and enjoy!
