Italian Turkey Marinara Sauce

Ingredients:
1 package Italian ground lean turkey
4 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 red onion, julienned
8 oz sliced Baby Bellas or portabella mushrooms
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
1 package whole wheat pasta of your choice
Directions:
In large skillet heat 2 tablespoons oil on medium high heat. Place turkey in pan and break up into small pieces with spatula. Cook thoroughly and place meat onto separate plate.
Put other 2 tablespoons oil in pan on high heat, add onions & mushrooms, season with salt & pepper and let cook 2 minutes. Stir and let cook another 2 minutes until all are golden brown. Turn heat down to medium, add the turkey back in along with the sauce and let simmer 15 minutes.
While the sauce simmers, prepare your pasta. Remember to salt your pasta water when it comes to a boil! Cook according to instruction, strain and toss with sauce. Serve along with some great grated parmesan!
