Apple Crisp with MontAmoré





Serves 12
Ingredients:
| 5 lb. apples (blend of Pink Lady, Gala and Honey Crisp) |
| 10 oz Sartori MontAmoré cheese, shredded |
| 2 tablespoons orange zest |
| 1 tablespoon lemon zest |
| 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice |
| 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice |
| 1/2 cup sugar |
| 2 teaspoons cinnamon |
| 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
| 1 cup quick-cooking oatmeal |
| 1 cup all-purpose flour |
| 1 cup light brown sugar, packed |
| 1/4 teaspoon baking powder |
| 1/4 teaspoon baking soda |
| 1/2 cup melted butter |
Directions:
- Peel and core apples. Slice into wedges.
- Combine the apples, zest, juice, cheese, and spices. Pour into a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
- Combine the oatmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and butter in a mixer or food processor until crumbly (butter will be pea size).
- Scatter crumb mixture over the apple mixture. Bake at 325 degrees F for 1 hour, or until the apples are very tender and the dessert is hot and bubbly.
- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
