Chicken Cheddar Apple Burger

Ingredients:

+ Add All Ingredients to Shopping List
1 lb Ground Chicken+ Add to Shopping List
1 Apple, shredded+ Add to Shopping List
1 Bunch Green Onions, sliced+ Add to Shopping List
2 Tbsp Apple Juice, can substitute with water+ Add to Shopping List
2 Tsp Dijon Mustard+ Add to Shopping List
3/4 Tsp Salt+ Add to Shopping List
1/2 Tsp Pepper+ Add to Shopping List
Hamburger Buns+ Add to Shopping List
Sliced Cheddar Cheese, for topping+ Add to Shopping List
Apple Slices, for topping+ Add to Shopping List
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients for burgers. Form into 4 patties.
  2. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat. Cook each burger on each side for about 6 minutes or until cooked through.
  3. Preheat oven to 350. Add a slice of cheese to each half of the bun and toast in the oven for about 3-4 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
  4. Slice an apple into thin slices.
  5. Whisk together the maple Dijon mustard. (see below for recipe)
  6. Assemble the burgers. Top each bun with a burger patty, apple slices, and a drizzle of the sauce.
Maple Dijon Mustard
2 Tbsp Dijon Mustard+ Add to Shopping List
1 1/2 Tbsp Pure Maple Syrup+ Add to Shopping List
  1. Whisk together both ingredients and set aside until ready to assemble burgers.
  2. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
