Frosted Pink Sugar Cookie Bars





Ingredients:
| 3 1/2 Cups Flour |
| 1/2 Tsp Salt |
| 1 Tsp Baking Powder |
| 2 Sticks Butter, softened |
| 1 1/2 Cups Sugar |
| 2 Large Eggs |
| 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract |
| 1/2 Tsp Red Food Coloring, plus more to reach desired color |
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet (jelly roll size) with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream together 2 sticks of softened butter and the sugar and light and fluffy. Add the eggs, vanilla, and food coloring and beat until combined. Add additional food coloring as needed to obtain the desired color.
- With the stand mixer running, slowly add the dry ingredients. Continue to mix until a dough forms.
- Pour onto the baking sheet and press into the bottom of the pan, all the way to the edges.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool completely.
- Once the bars have cooled, make the cream cheese frosting (see ingredient list below). In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat the cream cheese and butter until well combined. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla. Continue to beat until smooth.
- Spread in an even layer on top of the bars. Top with sprinkles.
- Use the aluminum foil to lift the bars off the baking sheet and place on a cutting board. Slice into bars, serve and enjoy!
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
