Air Fryer Hot Lemon Pepper Chicken Skewers





Ingredients:
| 1 lb Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts |
| 1 Tbsp Lemon Pepper Seasoning |
| 1 Tbsp + 1 Tsp Paprika, divided |
| 1 1/4 Tsp Salt, divided |
| 1 1/2 Tsp Pepper, divided |
| Zest from 2 Lemons, divided |
| 2-3 Garlic Cloves, minced |
| 2 1/2 Tbsp Frank's Hot Sauce, divided |
| 2 Tbsp Olive Oil |
| 1 Stick Unsalted Butter |
| 1 1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder |
| Juice from 1/2 a Lemo |
| 1 Tsp Honey |
| 6 8-inch Wooden Skewers |
Directions:
- Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes.
- Cut the chicken into 2-inch pieces and place in a Ziploc bag. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat.
- In a small bowl, combine the lemon pepper seasoning, 1 Tbsp paprika, ½ tsp pepper, zest from 1 lemon, garlic, 1 tsp salt, and 1 Tbsp hot sauce. Add to the chicken. Seal the bag and shake to coat the chicken.
- Thread the chicken onto the skewers, leaving no space between each piece of chicken. Set aside.
- Melt the butter in a microwave safe bowl. Add 1 tsp pepper, 1 tsp paprika, garlic powder, zest from 1 lemon, juice from ½ a lemon, 1 ½ Tbsp hot sauce, ¼ tsp salt, and honey. Whisk to combine.
- Divide the sauce in ½. One half will be used to baste the chicken while it cooks. The other half will be used to top the chicken before serving.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Add 3 skewers. Air fry at 400 degrees F for 5 minutes. Flip the skewers. Baste the skewers and air fry at 400 degrees F for an additional 2 minutes. Flip the skewers again and baste again. Air fry for another 5 minutes. If needed, cook for an additional 1-2 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F. Remove to a clean plate and set aside.
- Repeat with the other 3 skewers.
- Once finished, drizzle the remaining sauce over the top. Serve immediately and enjoy!
