Ingredients:
2 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
3-4 Large Tomatoes, chopped
1/4 Cup Basil, chopped, plus more for garnish
1 Tbsp Olive oil
1 Tsp Garlic Salt
1 Tsp Salt
1/2 Tsp Black Pepper
1 Tbsp Flour
1/4 Cup Pasta Water
2-3 Garlic Cloves, minced
1 lb Pasta Noodles, cooked, for serving
Parmesan Cheese, for garnish and serving
Directions:
- Start by preparing your ingredients; chop the tomatoes and basil, mince the garlic. Set aside.
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside. Reserve ¼ cup of the pasta water to use in the sauce.
- Melt the butter in a larger skillet over medium heat. Add the tomatoes and cook until warmed through and the juices are starting to release.
- Add the olive oil, garlic salt, salt, pepper, and basil, and stir to combine.
- Add the flour and mix until well incorporated. Bring to a slow simmer and continue to cook until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the pasta water and garlic and stir to combine. Simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Add the noodles to plates or bowls. Ladle the sauce over the top. Garnish with parmesan cheese and chopped basil. Serve warm and enjoy!
