Chocolate-Hazelnut Tart





Serves 6
Ingredients:

1/2 cup sugar+ Add to Shopping List |
2 tablespoons flour+ Add to Shopping List |
3 eggs, beaten+ Add to Shopping List |
1 1/2 cups peeled, chopped, and toasted hazelnuts+ Add to Shopping List |
8 oz bittersweet chocolate chips+ Add to Shopping List |
1 cup corn syrup+ Add to Shopping List |
2 tablespoons butter, melted+ Add to Shopping List |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract+ Add to Shopping List |
1/4 teaspoon salt+ Add to Shopping List |
1 frozen or refrigerated pie crust, defrosted+ Add to Shopping List |
Whipped Cream, for topping+ Add to Shopping List |
Chocolate Shavings, for topping+ Add to Shopping List |
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, mix together the sugar and the flour. Add the eggs, hazelnuts, chocolate chips, corn syrup, butter, vanilla, and salt. Stir well. Pour the mixture into the pie crust. Bake for 1 hour.
- Cool the tart for at least 30 minutes before serving. Serve with whipped cream on the top or on the side. Using a vegetable peeler, shave a chocolate bar over the whipped cream.
