Tillamook Cheddar Bacon Waffles





Serves 8
Ingredients:
| 2 eggs, well beaten |
| 1 cup milk |
| 3 tablespoons vegetable oil |
| 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
| 3 teaspoons baking powder |
| 2 teaspoons sugar |
| 1/2 teaspoon salt |
| 1 cup shredded Tillamook Sharp Cheddar Cheese |
| 8 slices cooked bacon |
| Maple syrup |
Directions:
- While waffle iron is heating, make the batter. Whisk together the eggs, milk, and oil in a large bowl.
- Stir in flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until batter is smooth. Then stir in shredded cheese.
- When waffle iron is hot, pour in enough batter to fill (amount varies by iron), then lay a piece of cooked bacon across batter before closing iron.
- Cook according to your iron’s instructions. Serve immediately with butter and maple syrup on the side.
