1 Whole turkey or turkey breast, (10 - 12 lb.)thawed and roasted in turkey bag until cooked through according to directions on bag
2 teaspoons freshly ground Pepper
1 teaspoon Garlic Salt
Chicken broth, as needed to moisten
Cornstarch, to thicken if desired
Directions:
When the turkey is cooked, remove from the bag and let it cool. Reserve ALL cooking juices; set aside.
Pull turkey apart using gloved hands and place the meat in a slow cooker. Pour all reserved juices over the meat. The juices should cover half of the meat. If you do not have enough, add turkey or chicken broth as needed.
On low heat, cook the turkey for 5 to 6 hours. Before serving, add more seasonings, to taste, as needed. If you want a gravy-like consistency; mix 1 to 2 tablespoons cornstarch with 1 to 2 tablespoons cold water or broth, stir into juices, and cook on high for another hour. Serve on sliced sandwich or slider buns.
