2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce, plus more for brushing on the burgers
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 clove fresh garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1 lb. ground turkey
Directions:
In a large bowl, whisk together the first eight ingredients. Crumble turkey over mixture and mix just until combined.
Shape into four patties. Grill or pan-fry until internal temperature reaches 180 degrees F. when tested with meat thermometer, about 5 minutes per side. Brush both sides with teriyaki sauce the last couple minutes of cooking time.
Serve on butter toasted buns, topped with sprouts and lettuce and a little more teriyaki sauce.
