Teriyaki Turkey Burgers





Serves 4
Ingredients:
| 1 egg |
| 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce, plus more for brushing on the burgers |
| 1 tablespoon soy sauce |
| 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs |
| 1/4 cup finely chopped onion |
| 1 clove fresh garlic, minced |
| 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger |
| 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper |
| 1 lb. ground turkey |
Directions:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the first eight ingredients. Crumble turkey over mixture and mix just until combined.
- Shape into four patties. Grill or pan-fry until internal temperature reaches 180 degrees F. when tested with meat thermometer, about 5 minutes per side. Brush both sides with teriyaki sauce the last couple minutes of cooking time.
- Serve on butter toasted buns, topped with sprouts and lettuce and a little more teriyaki sauce.
