Perfect T Bone Steaks

Serves 4


Ingredients:

4 oz T-bone steaks, cut 1 1/2 inches thick
1 stick butter
1 small onion
4 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1 cup Worcestershire sauce
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
4 drops Louisiana Hot Sauce or Tabasco, or to taste

Directions:

  1. Bring steaks out of the fridge 1 hour prior to cooking; allowing your steaks to come to room temp - this is very important!
  2. Preheat grill to high heat...must be cooked on an outdoor grill.
  3. Meanwhile, preheat small saucepan over medium-high heat. Add butter, onions and garlic; sauté until translucent. Add the vinegar, Worcestershire and Louisiana hot sauce; bring to a simmer.
  4. Brush your steaks evenly on both sides with the sauce mixture. Place steaks on the grill, over direct heat. Brush liberally and often with sauce while steak is grilling.
  5. After 7 minutes exactly, turn your steak over ONLY ONCE and brush with more sauce on the other side and grill another 7 minutes. This will get you a medium rare to medium steak that will melt in your mouth!
  6. Let steak rest, covered, with foil for 5 to 10 minutes before serving. Serve with a baked potato and a fresh garden salad and any remaining steak sauce on the side.
