Balsamic Caramelized Onions





Serves 4
Ingredients:
| 2 large yellow onions, thinly sliced |
| 2 tablespoons butter |
| 2 tablespoons brown sugar |
| 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar |
| Salt |
| Freshly ground pepper |
Directions:
- Preheat large skillet on medium high heat. Add 2 tablespoons butter and sliced onions and sauté until translucent, about 10 minutes.
- Add brown sugar and reduce heat to medium low and cook until onions are browned and caramelized, about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add balsamic vinegar and cook until almost completely evaporated, about 5 minutes more.
- Remove from heat and season to taste with salt and pepper.
