Green Slime Mac & Cheese

Ingredients:

1/4 Cup Unsalted Butter+ Add to Shopping List
1/3 Cup All-Purpose Flour+ Add to Shopping List
2 1/2 Cups Milk+ Add to Shopping List
1 Teaspoon Salt+ Add to Shopping List
1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper+ Add to Shopping List
1/4 Teaspoon Paprika+ Add to Shopping List
1 Teaspoon Onion Powder+ Add to Shopping List
1 Tablespoon Dry Mustard Powder+ Add to Shopping List
Pinch Cayenne Pepper+ Add to Shopping List
8 Ounces Sharp White Cheddar Cheese, grated+ Add to Shopping List
1 Box Medium Shell Pasta Noodles+ Add to Shopping List
Green Food Coloring+ Add to Shopping List

Directions:

  1. Melt the butter in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the flour and whisk to combine. Add the milk and whisk to combine making sure to remove all lumps.
  3. Add the salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder, dry mustard, and cayenne. Stir to combine.
  4. Continue to cook for about 6-8 minutes, until starts to simmer.
  5. Remove from heat and add the grated cheddar cheese. Stir until completely melted.
  6. Add green food coloring to the mixture and stir. Continue to add food coloring until your desired color is achieved.
  7. Add the cooked and drained pasta noodles, and stir completely.
