Pork Egg Roll in a Bowl

Serves 4


Ingredients:

1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
1 1/2 Tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil
1 lb. ground pork
1 cup thinly sliced white onion
1 cup shredded carrots
2 cups green cabbage, thinly sliced
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes or more to taste
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tsp. fish sauce
packaged wonton strips for topping
2 green onions

Directions:

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat vegetable oil. Add ginger and garlic, cook until fragrant, not browned, 1 to 2 minutes. Add pork and cook thoroughly. Set aside to add to other ingredients later.
  2. In large skillet add sesame oil, white onion, carrots, green cabbage, red pepper flakes, cook until cabbage is tender, 5 to 8 minutes.
  3. Add cooked pork mixture with cabbage mixture, add soy sauce, fish sauce, stir to combine and heat thoroughly.
  4. Serve in bowls topped with Wonton Strips and garnished with sliced green onion.
