Patriotic Pretzel Rods

Ingredients:

12 oz Pretzel Rods
1 lb Package Vanilla Flavored Almond Bark
12 oz Blue Chocolate Candy Melts
6 oz Red Chocolate Candy Melts
White Sprinkles

Directions:

  1. Break the almond bark into small pieces in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high in 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate has completely melted.
  2. Dip the pretzel rods into the chocolate. Use a spoon to help reach any part of the pretzel that the chocolate won’t reach, covering about 90% of the pretzel. Place on a piece of wax paper on the counter and repeat with the rest of the pretzel rods. Let the chocolate harden for about 10 minutes.
  3. Add the blue chocolate candy melts to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high in 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate has completely melted.
  4. Dip the pretzel rods in the blue chocolate but only submerge about ½ of the pretzel rod. Use a spoon to help reach the parts of the pretzel that the chocolate can’t reach. Place the pretzel rod back onto the wax paper on the counter add sprinkle with white sprinkles. Add the sprinkles between each pretzel rod or the chocolate will start to harden, and the sprinkles won’t stick. Repeat with the rest of the pretzel rods. Let the chocolate harden for about 10 minutes.
  5. Add the red chocolate candy melts to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high in 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate has completely melted.
  6. Add the melted chocolate to a squeeze bottle or Ziploc bag (snip the end). Drizzle a few red lines on each pretzel on the top half that is coated in white chocolate, to resemble the red and white stripes on a flag. Make the lines as thick or as thin as you like. Let the chocolate harden on the counter for about 10 minutes.
  7. Store in an airtight container on the counter or enjoy immediately.
