Caprese French Bread Pizza





Serves 4-6
Ingredients:
+ Add All Ingredients to Shopping List
1 French Bread Loaf, cut in half horizontally+ Add to Shopping List |
8 oz Jar Basil Pesto, homemade or store-bought+ Add to Shopping List |
16 oz Fresh Mozzarella, sliced+ Add to Shopping List |
5-6 Roma Tomatoes, sliced+ Add to Shopping List |
Fresh Basil, chopped, for topping+ Add to Shopping List |
Olive Oil, for topping+ Add to Shopping List |
Balsamic Vinegar, for topping+ Add to Shopping List |
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Slice the French bread in half, horizontally. If the bread is too long to fit on the baking sheet, slice the bread in half.
- Spread the basil pesto evenly over each piece of bread. Place the bread on a baking sheet.
- Place the sliced mozzarella on top of the pesto, spread out evenly amongst each piece of bread.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the crust is starting to toast.
- Add the sliced tomatoes on top of the mozzarella cheese, spread out evenly amongst each piece of bread.
- LIGHTLY drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the top. Sprinkle the fresh chopped basil over the top.
- Slice and serve warm. Enjoy!
