Ingredients:

2/3 Cup Sugar+ Add to Shopping List |
3 Large Eggs+ Add to Shopping List |
1 1/2 Tbsp Flour+ Add to Shopping List |
Pinch of Salt+ Add to Shopping List |
1 Cup Whole Milk+ Add to Shopping List |
3 Medium Ripe Bananas+ Add to Shopping List |
1 1/4 Cup Heavy Cream+ Add to Shopping List |
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract+ Add to Shopping List |
Directions:
- Add the eggs and sugar to a mixing bowl. Whisk well to combine.
- Add the flour and whisk to combine. Set aside.
- Heat the whole milk in a saucepan over medium heat. You do not want the milk to boil, only simmer.
- Temper the egg mixture but SLOWLY pouring the hot milk into the bowl while whisking at the same time.
- Pour the mixture back into the pan and add the salt. Whisk to combine and continue to heat over low heat, while stirring continuously, until it thickens. You do not want the mixture to boil.
- Unpeel the bananas and use a fork to mash.
- Add the mashed bananas to the saucepan and stir to combine. Add the cream and vanilla and stir to combine.
- Cover and refrigerate until chilled, about 2 hours.
- Once chilled, add to the ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer directions.
- Transfer to a freezer safe dish and freeze for at least 4 hours or until the desired consistency is reached.
- Serve and enjoy!
