Ingredients:
1/3 Cup + 2 Tbsp Pumpkin Puree (not pie filling)
2 Tbsp Light Brown Sugar
1 Tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
6 oz Cream Cheese, softened and divided
12 Wonton Wrappers
Vegetable or Canola Oil, for frying
Powdered Sugar, for dusting
3/4 Cup Powdered Sugar
1/4 Cup Maple Syrup
1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
Directions:
- Add the powdered sugar, 4oz cream cheese, maple syrup and cinnamon to the bowl of a stand mixer and beat until well combined and smooth, scraping down the sides as needed. Transfer to a serving bowl and set aside.
- Add the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and 2oz cream cheese to the bowl of a stand mixer and beat until well combined. It’s OK if there are a few lumps, they will melt while frying.
- Lay the wonton wrappers on the counter and add about 1 Tbsp of the mixture to the center of each wrapper. Use water to wet the edges and fold each wrapper into a triangle shape. Use water along the edges and pinch to completely seal.
- Heat 1 ½ - 2 inches of oil in a wok or high sided pan over medium-high heat. Add the wontons in batches, about 4 at a time, and cook until both sides are crispy and golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side. Use a slotted spoon to remove to a paper towel lined plate to absorb the excess oil.
- Dust the wontons with powdered sugar.
- Serve the warm wontons with the dipping sauce on the side. Enjoy!
