Strawberry Puff Pastry Hearts

1 Sheet Puff Pastry, thawed
Flour, for dusting
1 Large Egg, whisked in a bowl
2 oz Cream Cheese
1/4 Cup Powdered Sugar
1/2 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
5-6 Strawberries, sliced or chopped
1/4 Cup Chocolate Chips, for topping


  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Lightly flour your counter and unfold the puff pastry. Use a heart shaped cookie cutter to cut out 10 heart shapes from the dough. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Prick each heart with a fork and brush with an egg wash.
  4. Bake for 9-10 minutes then remove from the oven and let cool completely.
  5. While the pastries cool, prepare the whipped cream. Beat together the cream cheese and powdered sugar in the bowl of a stand mixer. Add the heavy whipping cream and vanilla and beat until stiff peaks form.
  6. Add to a piping bag or Ziploc bag and snip off the corn.
  7. Pipe onto 5 of the heart pastries.
  8. Top with sliced or chopped strawberries.
  9. Add a little dollop of whipped cream to the center of the strawberries and place one of the other heart pastries on top (the dollop will help hold together). You will have a total of 5 completed pastries.
  10. Heat the chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl in 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted. Drizzle over the top of each heart pastry.
  11. Serve immediately and enjoy! Best to consume same day.
