Ingredients:
1 Sheet Puff Pastry, thawed
Flour, for dusting
1 Large Egg, whisked in a bowl
2 oz Cream Cheese
1/4 Cup Powdered Sugar
1/2 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
5-6 Strawberries, sliced or chopped
1/4 Cup Chocolate Chips, for topping
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Lightly flour your counter and unfold the puff pastry. Use a heart shaped cookie cutter to cut out 10 heart shapes from the dough. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
Prick each heart with a fork and brush with an egg wash.
Bake for 9-10 minutes then remove from the oven and let cool completely.
While the pastries cool, prepare the whipped cream. Beat together the cream cheese and powdered sugar in the bowl of a stand mixer. Add the heavy whipping cream and vanilla and beat until stiff peaks form.
Add to a piping bag or Ziploc bag and snip off the corn.
Pipe onto 5 of the heart pastries.
Top with sliced or chopped strawberries.
Add a little dollop of whipped cream to the center of the strawberries and place one of the other heart pastries on top (the dollop will help hold together). You will have a total of 5 completed pastries.
Heat the chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl in 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted. Drizzle over the top of each heart pastry.
Serve immediately and enjoy! Best to consume same day.
