Ingredients:
4 top sirloin steaks
Coarse salt, to taste
2 navel oranges, peel and pith removed
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon finely grated peeled fresh ginger
1 head of romaine lettuce, cored and cut into bite-size pieces
1 small red onion, halved and sliced thinly
4 carrots, cut into matchsticks
Garlic Ginger Wonton Strips, for topping
Fresh ground pepper, to taste
Directions:
Heat a large skillet to medium. Season steaks with salt and pepper and add to the pan. Cook, turning only once, for about 8 minutes (medium rare). Place on a cutting board and let rest 5 minutes. Thinly slice crosswise and set aside.
Cut oranges to release segments and set aside. Over a medium bowl, squeeze the remaining membranes to release around 2 tablespoons of juice. Whisk in oil, honey and ginger into the bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Add lettuce, onion, carrots and orange segments.
Toss and top salad with the steak. Garnish with Garlic Ginger Wonton Strips.
