Citrusy Top Sirloin Steak Salad





Serves 4
Ingredients:
| 4 top sirloin steaks |
| Coarse salt, to taste |
| 2 navel oranges, peel and pith removed |
| 2 tablespoons vegetable oil |
| 2 tablespoons honey |
| 1 teaspoon finely grated peeled fresh ginger |
| 1 head of romaine lettuce, cored and cut into bite-size pieces |
| 1 small red onion, halved and sliced thinly |
| 4 carrots, cut into matchsticks |
| Garlic Ginger Wonton Strips, for topping |
| Fresh ground pepper, to taste |
Directions:
- Heat a large skillet to medium. Season steaks with salt and pepper and add to the pan. Cook, turning only once, for about 8 minutes (medium rare). Place on a cutting board and let rest 5 minutes. Thinly slice crosswise and set aside.
- Cut oranges to release segments and set aside. Over a medium bowl, squeeze the remaining membranes to release around 2 tablespoons of juice. Whisk in oil, honey and ginger into the bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Add lettuce, onion, carrots and orange segments.
- Toss and top salad with the steak. Garnish with Garlic Ginger Wonton Strips.
