In bowl, combine brining blend and boiling water. Stir to dissolve salt. Add ice cubes; stir to cool mixture. Pour brining mixture into 1-gallon ziplock food bag; add salmon and enough cold water to fill bag. Close bag and place in refrigerator for 20 minutes.
Remove, drain salmon and pat dry - DO NOT RINSE!
Heat grill to 350 degrees F, add soaked planks to grill rack, close cover and heat for 3 minutes. Turn plank and add salmon to heated plank. Close cover and cook until done. No turning necessary.
