Green Beans with Citrus Butter Sauce





Serves 6
Ingredients:
+ Add All Ingredients to Shopping List
1 lb fresh green beans+ Add to Shopping List |
1 shallot, minced+ Add to Shopping List |
1 teaspoon olive oil+ Add to Shopping List |
1 teaspoon orange zest+ Add to Shopping List |
2 tablespoons navel orange juice+ Add to Shopping List |
2 tablespoons butter+ Add to Shopping List |
Salt, to taste+ Add to Shopping List |
Pepper, to taste+ Add to Shopping List |
Directions:
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. When boiling, add beans and cook 8 minutes.
- Meanwhile, sweat shallots in olive oil 3 minutes on medium heat. Then add orange juice and zest and reduce by half. Once reduced, whisk in butter and set aside.
- Drain beans and toss in citrus butter sauce and enjoy!
