1 lb Festival Foods Fresh Italian Sausage Mild or Hot
1/4 teaspoon minced Garlic
1 tablespoon Parsley flakes
1 tablespoon Basil
1 1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 can Diced Tomatoes, (15 oz)
2 cans Tomato Paste, (6 oz. each)
Brown sausage. Strain to remove the grease. Add the remaining above ingredients and simmer 30 minutes.
Cheese mixture
3 cups small curd Cottage Cheese
2 Eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon Pepper
2 tablespoon Parsley flakes
1/2 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
1 oz. Lasagna noodles
1 lb. shredded Mozzarella Cheese, (or more)
Mix together first six ingredients. Set aside.
Boil the noodles until almost done; drain.
Using half the mixture, layer in 9 x 13 cake pan: noodles, meat sauce mixture, Cottage cheese mixture and mozzarella cheese. Repeat using the other half of the ingredients.
Bake at 375 degrees covered with foil for 30 minutes, then uncover and finish baking for another 10 minutes.
