Grilled Mushroom and Swiss Burgers

Ingredients:
3 tablespoon butter, divided use
1 package (8 oz.) sliced fresh mushrooms
3 tablespoon soy sauce
3 large garlic cloves, sliced or nelychopped
1 1/2 pound lean (at least 80%) ground beef
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
6 slices Swiss cheese
1 large sweet onion, thinly sliced
6 butter-toasted burger buns
6 fresh tomatoes slices, if desired,for topping
Directions:
Heat gas or charcoal grill to medium heat. In 12-inch nonstick skillet, melt 2 Tbsp. butter over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms, soy sauce and garlic; cook until mushrooms are tender and liquid evaporates. Set aside; keep warm.
Shape beef into 6 (1/2 inch thick) patties. Sprinkle with garlic powder, seasonedsalt and pepper.
Place patties on grill; cover grill. Cook with medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, turning once, until meat thermometer inserted in center of patties reads 160°F. Place cheese slices on top of burgers; cover and cook 1 to 2 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
Meanwhile, while burgers are grilling, saute? onions in remaining tablespoon of butter in skillet until lightly browned, about 5 minutes and sprinkle with seasoned salt and pepper; set aside.
Place burgers in butter-toasted buns. Divide cooked mushrooms evenly overburgers. Top with saute?ed onions and tomato slices, if using.
