Castello Creamy Havarti with Bacon on Crostini





Serves 4
Ingredients:
| 8 slices diagonally sliced cut french bread |
| 2 tablespoons olive oil |
| 1 teaspoon salt |
| chopped fresh herbs (such as chives, dill, parsley, or rosemary) |
| 8 slices of smoked bacon, cooked |
| 2 oz Castello Creamy Havarti, shaved |
Directions:
- Brush one side of the bread with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and herbs. Arrange slices on a baking sheet and place under a broiler until edges of the bread crisp to a golden brown, about 3 min.
- Remove pan from the heat and top each bread with a layer of crumbled bacon and shaved Castello Havarti. Return the pan to the broiler and heat until cheese melts, about 3 min. Remove and immediately sprinkle with remaining chopped herb. Served while hot or at room temperature.
