Ingredients:
+ Add All Ingredients to Shopping List
1 Package Kings Hawaiian Rolls+ Add to Shopping List |
16 oz Fresh Mozzarella, sliced into 12 pieces+ Add to Shopping List |
4 -5 Roma Tomatoes, sliced into 12 pieces+ Add to Shopping List |
12 Fresh Basil Leaves+ Add to Shopping List |
Prepared Pesto+ Add to Shopping List |
1/4 Cup Butter, melted+ Add to Shopping List |
Grated Parmesan, for topping+ Add to Shopping List |
Poppy Seeds, for topping+ Add to Shopping List |
Salt and Pepper, for topping+ Add to Shopping List |
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees and spray a 9x13 pan with cooking spray.
- Use a bread knife to slice the rolls in half without separating the rolls. Place the bottom half in a 9x13 pan.
- Spread pesto on top of the bottom half of the rolls.
- Add the sliced mozzarella on top of the pesto.
- Add the sliced tomatoes on top of the mozzarella.
- Add the basil on top of the tomatoes.
- Place the top half of the rolls on top.
- Melt the butter in the microwave and drizzle or brush over the top of the rolls.
- Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese liberally over the top of the rolls. Then sprinkle the poppy seeds, salt, and pepper over the top of the rolls.
- Cover loosely with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 5 minutes. You want the tops to be golden brown and slightly crispy.
- Slice and serve warm.
