Spider Web Donuts

1 1/4 Cups Flour
1 1/2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
1/2 Tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
1/8 Tsp Baking Soda
1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
1 Tsp Baking Powder
1/2 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Lemon Zest
1/4 Cup Sugar
1/3 Cup + 1 Tbsp Almond Milk
White Candy Melts or Almond Bark
3 Cups Powdered Sugar
1/3 Cup Blueberry Pomegranate Juice
3 -4 Drops Red Food Coloring
3 -4 Drops Blue Food Coloring


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray the donut pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Add the lemon zest and mix.
  3. In a separate bowl combine the almond milk and vinegar. Then add the oil and vanilla.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just incorporated. Do not overmix.
  5. Add the batter to a piping bag or Ziploc bag and snip the tip of the bag. Pipe into the donut pan until each cavity is about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Cool on a cooling rack.
  7. Whisk together the juice and powdered sugar. Add the food coloring and stir to combine. Add additional drops of food coloring to reach your desired shade of purple.
  8. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set the cooling rack on top.
  9. Dip each donut in the glaze and place back on the cooling rack. Let set and dip a second time if needed.
  10. Melt the white candy melts or almond bark in a microwave safe dish. Add to a piping bag or Ziploc bag and snip the tip of the bag. Pipe a spider web shape onto each donut and let harden.
  11. Serve immediately.
