Bloody Eyeball Turkey Meatballs





Ingredients:

24 oz Jar Marinara Sauce+ Add to Shopping List |
1 lb Ground Turkey+ Add to Shopping List |
1/4 Cup Chicken Broth+ Add to Shopping List |
1 Large Egg+ Add to Shopping List |
2 Tbsp White Onion, grated+ Add to Shopping List |
2-3 Garlic Cloves, minced+ Add to Shopping List |
3 Tbsp Shredded Parmesan+ Add to Shopping List |
1/3 Cup Plain Breadcrumbs+ Add to Shopping List |
1/2 Tsp Salt+ Add to Shopping List |
1/2 Tsp Black Pepper+ Add to Shopping List |
1 1/2 Tbsp Fresh Basil, finely chopped+ Add to Shopping List |
Sliced Black Olives+ Add to Shopping List |
Directions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken broth, egg, white onion, garlic, parmesan, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, and basil. Mix until well combined.
- Add the turkey and use your hands to mix until just combined. Form into 12-16 meatballs.
- Add the entire jar of marinara sauce to an 8x8 or 9x9 baking dish. It should come about ½ way up the sides of the baking dish.
- Place the meatballs in the marinara sauce. Add a black olive on top of each meatball to resemble an eye.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until cooked through.
- Serve warm, on a bed of cooked spaghetti noodles, making sure to scoop some of the marinara sauce over the noodles as well. Garnish with additional parmesan cheese, optional. Enjoy!
