Simple Steak Mushrooms

Serves 12


Ingredients:

1 lb. Fresh Whole White Mushrooms, (You can add up to 3 pounds of mushrooms to the sauce and it works out well) - washed
1 container Johnny's Au Jus Concentrate Mix
1 stick Butter
1 bunch Fresh Green Onions, diced
Water

Directions:

  1. 45 minutes before steaks are ready to serve: Place skillet or high side skillet (if you are doing 3 pounds) on the stove on medium heat. Add the Johnny's Au Jus, two Johnny's Container filled with water, and the stick of Butter to the skillet. Let these ingredients come to a slow boil and remain for a period of time to reduce down.
  2. 25 minutes before steaks are ready to serve: Add the washed mushrooms to the slow boiling sauce. Keep stirring them to make sure all of the mushrooms get cooked thoroughly so they are tender. The mushrooms do reduce down in size as they simmer.
  3. 5 minutes before steaks are ready to serve: Add the diced green onions. If the mushrooms are completely tender, turn the heat down to low.
  4. Serve the mushrooms with some of the sauce on the side. The sauce is great to add over your steak and for dipping mushrooms.
  5. Enjoy!
