CREAM CHEESE FROSTING INGREDIENTS+ Add to Shopping List |
1/3 Cup Unsalted Butter, softened+ Add to Shopping List |
8 oz Cream Cheese, softened+ Add to Shopping List |
3 Cups Powdered Sugar+ Add to Shopping List |
2 1/2 Tbsp Heavy Cream+ Add to Shopping List |

Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9x13 glass pan.
- Add the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg to a large mixing bowl and whisk to combine. Set aside.
- Add the oil, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla to the bowl of a stand mixer. Beat to combine. Add the apple sauce, grated apple, and sour cream, and beat to combine.
- Slowly add the flour mixture and mix to combine, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Set on the counter and cool completely.
- Once cool, make the cream cheese frosting. Add the butter to the bowl of a stand mixer and beat until soft. Add the cream cheese and beat until combined and no lumps remain.
- Add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, and beat until well combined. Add the heavy cream and continue to mix until the desired consistency is reached.
- Add to the top of the cake and spread to the sides. Top with chopped walnuts.
- Slice and serve. Enjoy!
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. Bring to room temperature before eating leftovers.
