Ingredients:
1 1/4 Cups Apple Cider
1/2 Cup Chicken Broth
1 Tsp Minced Garlic
1 Cup Gouda Cheese, grated
1 Cup Swiss Cheese, grated
1 Cup Cheddar Cheese, grated
1 Tbsp Cornstarch
1/4 Cup Half & Half
Black Pepper, to taste
Dippers - baguette, pretzels, summer sausage, apple slices, etc.
Directions:
- Add the cider, broth, and garlic to a fondue pot or medium saucepan and heat over medium heat until simmering.
- Add some of the grated cheese, a little at a time, and stir until completely melted. Continue until all cheese has been added and is melted. Season with pepper, to taste.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and half & half. Add to the fondue pot / saucepan and stir to combine. Continue to stir until the fondue is shiny and smooth and thickens slightly.
- Serve warm with your favorite dippers: slices baguette, pretzels, apple slices, summer sausage, etc.
- Any leftovers should be cooled and stored in an airtight container in the fridge. To enjoy the next day, simply reheat on the stove. You might need to add a splash of apple cider to help loosen up the cheese when whisking.
