Ingredients:
8 Hot Dogs
1 Tube Refrigerated Crescent Roll Dough
Black Sesame Seeds, for eyes
Ketchup and Mustard, for serving
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Slice each hot dog in half, lengthwise, then in half again, crosswise. You will have 4 pieces from each hotdog for a total of 32 pieces.
- Use a small knife to make 3 small slices on each side of the hot dog pieces, keeping the middle intact. Don’t slice all the way through as this creates the “legs”.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and pinch together the seams. Slice into long thin strips then slice each strip into 3 pieces. Wrap each piece of dough around the center of each hot dog, pinching the seam to fully close. Place each on the prepared baking sheets, spaced apart.
- Add 2 sesame seeds to the center of each to create eyes.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the dough is cooked through and starting to turn brown, and the hot dogs are warmed through.
- Transfer to a serving platter and serve with ketchup and mustard on the side for dipping. Enjoy!
