Ingredients:
| 2 cups uncooked rice |
| 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon |
| 1 teaspoon salt |
| 1 tablespoon turmeric |
| 1 tablespoon sugar |
| 1 cup seedless raisins, (optional) |
| 1 tablespoon butter |
| 2 cups water |
Directions:
- Add all the ingredients, except the raisins, into a large pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer, and cook covered, for 15 minutes. Stir in raisins, if using, and continue cooking on low heat covered, for another 15 minutes or until rice is tender.
- Remove from the stove and transfer into a dish. Serve with the Bobotie immediately.
