Ingredients:
| 6 skinless boneless chicken breast halves |
| 1/4 cup butter |
| 1 lb fresh sliced mushrooms |
| 1 envelope Italian dry salad dressing mix, (0.7 oz.) |
| 1 can condensed golden mushroom soup, (10 3/4 oz.) |
| 1/2 cup dry white wine or sherry |
| 1 tub cream cheese with chives and onion, (8 oz.)(or plain cream cheese) |
| Hot cooked angel hair pasta, for serving |
| Freshly shredded Parmesan Cheese, for topping |
| Chopped fresh chives, optional |
Directions:
- Place chicken in a 4 to 6-quart slow cooker.
- In a large sauté pan, melt the butter. Saute mushrooms until lightly browned. Stir in the dry Italian salad dressing mix and toss to coat. Stir in mushroom soup, white wine or sherry, and cream cheese until combined.
- Pour over the chicken. Cover slow cooker and cook on low-heat setting for 4 to 5 hours. Serve over hot cooked angel hair pasta topped with Parmesan Cheese and chopped chives, if desired.
