Chicken Parmesan Sloppy Joe’s





Ingredients:
+ Add All Ingredients to Shopping List
1 lb Ground Chicken+ Add to Shopping List |
1/2 Large Yellow Onion, diced+ Add to Shopping List |
12 oz Tomato Sauce+ Add to Shopping List |
4 oz Tomato Paste+ Add to Shopping List |
1 Tbsp Italian Seasoning+ Add to Shopping List |
1 Cup Mozzarella Cheese, cut into small cubes+ Add to Shopping List |
Shredded or Shaved Parmesan Cheese, for topping+ Add to Shopping List |
1/2 Cup Panko Breadcrumbs+ Add to Shopping List |
Fresh Chopped Parsley, for garnish+ Add to Shopping List |
4 Brioche Buns, for serving+ Add to Shopping List |
Directions:
- Add the breadcrumbs to a small skillet and heat over medium heat until lightly toasted. Stir occasionally to prevent burning. Remove the breadcrumbs from the pan and set aside.
- Add the chicken and onions to a large skillet and heat over medium heat. Cook until the meat is cooked through and the onions are soft and translucent. Break apart the meat into small chunks as it cooks.
- Add the Italian seasoning and stir to combine.
- Add the tomato sauce and tomato paste to the skillet and stir to combine. Continue to simmer over medium heat until the sauce is slightly evaporated and absorbed.
- Add the cubed cheese evenly over the top. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and allow the cheese to melt.
- Place a large scoop onto each bun. Top with parmesan cheese, toasted breadcrumbs, and parsley. Enjoy!
