Christmas is a time for family, friends, food, and of course, cocktails! I want to share 4 new martini recipes with you today. All are fun, festive, and sure to get you in the holiday spirit. Here’s what I have for you:
These are super fun to make and are a great way to serve martinis to your guests. I think they would make great place settings at a dinner party, or you can make them ahead of time and save them to serve as an after-dinner drink. It’s a very merry martini with a citrusy flavor!
The recipe can be found here.
Start by adding one rosemary sprig and a few cranberries to the bottom of 2 martini glasses. Bonus points if you make sugared cranberries to use because they are both delicious and festive! I opted for plain cranberries.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the vodka, orange curacao, cran-cherry juice, and orange juice. Shake vigorously then use a funnel to strain into 2 clear glass ornaments. You want to fill about 95% of the way and then place the top back on each ornament. Carefully set each ornament in a martini glass. The cranberries and rosemary will help it from moving around.
When ready to serve, remove the top of the ornament and pour into the martini glasses (or let your guests do this themselves). Enjoy!
The recipe can be found here and is for two cocktails.
This recipe takes a little bit of time to prepare because you are pouring liquid into ornaments and not directly in the martini glasses. You can make these in advance and chill until ready to serve. Be careful when you pour so you don’t spill the liquid and don’t break the ornament, they are fragile.
These are the ultimate Christmas cocktail! They taste just like sugar cookies and are super sweet. If you have a deep appreciation for cookies and like to sample cocktails with great flavor that don’t taste entirely like booze, this is perfect for you. It’s sweet, smooth, and has the perfect vanilla flavor. Better yet, it’s garnished with frosting and sprinkles!
The recipe can be found here.
Start by coating the rim of a martini glass with vanilla frosting. I find it easiest to use a butter knife to spread the frosting vs dipping it in the frosting. I find it sticks to the glass better. Then, dip into sprinkles. Use any sprinkles you prefer. I like to use rainbow nonpareil sprinkles for maximum color.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the vanilla vodka, bailey’s Irish cream, milk, and amaretto. Shake vigorously then strain into a martini glass. Serve and enjoy!
The recipe can be found here and is for one cocktail.
If you are a fan of eggnog, you will love this martini! If you are unfamiliar with eggnog, it’s like drinking a glass of melted ice cream with a hint of spice – it doesn’t taste like eggs. It can be an acquired taste but it’s a very popular beverage around the holidays. It’s rich, cream, decadent, and delicious…especially when you add alcohol 😊 There is a great ratio of eggnog to alcohol in this martini and common household spices (which are popular around the holidays) are used to compliment the eggnog.
The recipe can be found here.
Start by using water to wet the rim of a martini glass. Dip into sugar to coat the rim and set aside.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the eggnog, vodka, amaretto, pinch of cinnamon, and pinch of nutmeg. Shake vigorously then strain into the martini glass.
Garnish with a light sprinkle of nutmeg and enjoy!
The recipe can be found here and is for one cocktail.
This martini is sweet and spicy and tastes like Cinnamon Toast Crunch breakfast cereal, in my opinion. It’s a wonderful dessert cocktail and only takes 2 ingredients to make (plus a garnish if you like to be fancy). The rim is coated in a cinnamon sugar mixture that compliments the liquor nicely. This martini is strong! It’s basically booze plus more booze, garnished with some sugar. But it tastes amazing and will get you ready for the holidays.
The recipe can be found here.
Start by combining the cinnamon and sugar. Use water to wet the rim of a martini glass then dip in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat the rim, set aside.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the rumchata and fireball whiskey. Shake vigorously then strain into the martini glass.
Garnish with a light sprinkle of cinnamon and enjoy!
The recipe can be found here and is for one cocktail.
I’m not sure which martini is my favorite. All were yummy and unique in their own way and definitely got me excited for Christmas. Which will you try?
Happy Cooking and Happy Holidays!
