Some of the best appetizers are the ones that look impressive but take almost no effort to make — and these Mini Brie Stars are exactly that. I made these when I needed something quick to bring to a holiday party, and they have been on my mind ever since. With just four ingredients and about 20 minutes, you get warm, flaky, golden bites filled with creamy melted brie and topped with the sweetest wild berry jam. They disappear fast — I promise.

Whether you’re hosting Thanksgiving, a Christmas gathering, or any get-together where you want to wow your guests without spending hours in the kitchen, these little stars deliver every time. The combination of buttery puff pastry, rich brie, and fruity jam is one of those flavor pairings that just works. You can even swap in your favorite jam if wild berry isn’t your thing — raspberry, fig, or apricot are all delicious. Simple, festive, and absolutely irresistible — let’s make them!

The full recipe can be found here. Here is how to make them:

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and line 1-2 baking trays with parchment paper. Lightly flour the counter then roll out the puff pastry to smooth it out.

Use a cookie cutter to cut out shapes – any shape of your choosing to customize for different gatherings. The size of your cutter will depend on how many pieces you get out of the puff pastry. Recommend using a small cutter for bite sized pieces. Place each piece on the prepared baking sheets, spaced apart.

Cut the brie into approximately 1 CM cubes and place one in the center of each. Then, brush the edges with egg wash.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up. Remove from the oven and add a small amount of jam on top of the brie, about ½ – 1 Tsp is enough jam.

Serve warm and enjoy! Can also be enjoyed room temperature as they cool.

And that’s really all there is to it! These Mini Brie Stars are proof that the simplest recipes are often the most crowd-pleasing ones. Whether you served them warm straight from the oven or let them cool to room temperature, I have a feeling they didn’t last long on the table — they never do at my house!

The best part is how versatile they are. Once you make them the first time, you’ll start thinking of all the different jams and seasonings you can experiment with. A drizzle of honey, a sprinkle of fresh thyme, or even a spicy pepper jelly can all take these little bites in a completely different direction. The possibilities are endless.

Happy Cooking!
